GERMANY
1958年生於中國四川，因1989年6月4日凌晨製作〈大屠殺〉磁帶並拍攝詩歌電影〈安魂〉而被捕，入獄4年。1994年獲釋。2011年7月逃離中國，目前定居德國。已在西方20多國翻譯並發表的重要著作《子彈鴉片》、《吆屍人》、《上帝是紅色的》、《為了一首歌和一百首歌》、《武漢》《毛時代的愛情》等多種。他被《盧旺達屠殺》的作者菲利浦‧古雷維奇譽為：「我們這個時代最具原創性、最傑出的中國作家之一」。曾被多次提名為諾貝爾文學獎候選人。2021年進入了最先公布的短名單 曾獲美國赫爾曼/哈米特人權寫作獎、美國《當代基督教》雜誌「最佳圖書奬」、德國「紹爾兄妹獎」、德國書業和平獎等、美國瓦茨拉夫 哈維爾圖書基金會作家獎。

You always disparage my sentences as too long
but now fate has compressed
your son into a clause
and this still being cut down
till all that’s left is a sack of skin
an unrecognizable, defiled word
so much so it can’t be considered a noun
I’m just a complicated character
too many brush strokes, so often written wrong
I’m already old
looking older than you
When one day I return to my hometown
will this bald head still call “Mama” before all?
Will I have the strength to feel love, to take in
too soft a wind?

你總嫌我的詩句太長
而現在，命運卻把你的兒子
壓縮成一個短句
這個短句還在被刪減
直到只剩下一堆皮囊
一個面目全非的強姦過的詞
甚至連名詞也算不上
我只是一個繁體字
因筆劃太多被經常寫錯
我已經老了
看上去比你還老
當我有一天重歸故里
這顆禿頭還習慣當眾叫"媽媽"麼？
我是否有力氣去感受愛，接納
太輕柔的風?
