I look at you through layers of labyrinth
All eyes converge
And approach the wind-swept beach

Waves are an often-activated routine
A stretch of the waist
Sends a half-turn of spirited dance your way

You welcome it with enthusiasm
Looking forward to my swaying figure
Take it to heart and happy to respond

Even though
I am the intertidal zone you left behind
Enduring, accommodating
All disturbances and vicissitudes

Everything goes back to quietude
With a most bountiful heart
We accept each other as nutrients
We accept each other with poetry
And abide by each other
